Our Creative Writing group made a promising start in September 2023.

We began by discussing what we wanted from the group and we came to the conclusion that we appreciated the chance to try something new, to be stretched, to practise and improve, and to have some fun!

No previous experience is required, just some enthusiasm and a little imagination. Members would normally bring their contribution to read out and then discuss the different responses. At the end of the meeting we will choose a topic as a focus for the following session. There will also be time to share information about interesting books, programmes, authors’ talks, etc during a sociable tea break.

All types of writing are welcomed. As we progress we will be exploring our interests and developing skills in different styles.

Creative Writing group meets monthly on the third Tuesday, in the afternoon, 2 - 4 pm at Quinton Methodist Church.
