We meet monthly, during term time, between 14:00 and 16:00 on Mondays, usually at Quinton Methodist Church
Embracing a New Vision
Our group is growing, we are happy to welcome 6 new members this year, and we now have a happy group of 23 photographers as we continue to flourish, embracing a spectrum of cameras from iPhones/iPads to the complexity of SLRs.
Innovative Learning,
We have recently introduced a 15-minute informational video segment, tackling intricate subjects such as aperture, speed and lens choice etc. These sessions, led by renowned Wildlife, Landscape, and Street photographers via YouTube, help to enrich our understanding and skill of this tricky subject.
Creative Explorations
Our meetings at Quinton Methodist Church have become a canvas for our creativity. We’ve delved into the intricate world of Macro photography, captured the beauty of flowers, dabbled with the interplay of Shadows and Silhouettes, and found wonder in small, interesting objects. These explorations culminate in a review session during our subsequent meeting, fostering a spirit of learning and friendship.
Welcoming New photographers
We welcome new members and look forward to introducing them to our small community, fostering a spirit of learning and friendship.
Looking Forward
Photo Shoot Along the Birmingham Heritage Trail
On Monday the 11th May ten of our Photography group members met in Birmingham for a photo shoot along part of the City Centre Heritage Trail, taking us along Colmore Row, passing Victoria square and Chamberlain square and the library with a stop for a coffee to visit the solar exhibition housed in the Birmingham Exchange building, just opposite the new library. From there, we continued on towards Brindley Place and a gentle walk along the canal and back towards Newhall street and then where we had a lunch break and finally back to the end of our heritage trail at St phillips Cathedral. Although the weather was a little wet prior to our journey into Birmingham it quickly brightened up allowing us to take some stunning shots along the trail. A big thanks to all that came on the trail we had a great time.

See route map below. We started at no.1 following the trail from 1 to 5 and 11 to13 then back to no.1.
